Headout is hiring a Software Engineer, Web (Frontend) in Bengaluru. The role involves building high-performance web applications and products that directly impact users across a global audience.

The engineer will work closely with product and design teams, build projects end-to-end, take ownership of features, collaborate with experienced developers, and contribute to reliable and scalable web systems. The role requires strong React, JavaScript, and TypeScript skills along with experience in modern web development.

Responsibilities

Build web projects and features end-to-end, from initial development through launch.
Design and develop high-performance web applications.
Take ownership of features and implement innovative solutions.
Collaborate closely with product and design teams.
Work with experienced developers on projects ranging from improvements to complex systems.
Contribute to reliable and scalable web systems.
Address gaps in the development process to ensure smooth operations.
Apply responsive design and cross-browser compatibility principles.
Work on performance optimization for web applications.
Contribute to a fast-paced product development environment.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in React.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
Solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
Good understanding of responsive design.
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility.
Experience with Git.
Basic knowledge of performance optimization.
1+ year of frontend development experience.
Startup experience is preferred.
Curiosity and strong problem-solving ability.
Eagerness to learn and grow.
Contributions to open-source projects or personal side projects are a bonus.
Exposure to mobile or backend technologies is a bonus.
