Description

Microsoft is hiring a Software Engineer for its Windows team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on designing and developing Windows features and services at scale, working with partner teams, applying modern engineering practices, and improving product reliability, performance, and observability.

Responsibilities

Work with engineers to deliver improvements and new features for Windows.
Work with Windows stakeholders to determine user requirements.
Identify dependencies and contribute to design documents.
Create and implement code for products, services, and features.
Break larger work items into smaller tasks and provide estimates.
Monitor products and services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI).
Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance.

Requirements

Software engineering experience relevant to developing and shipping software products or services.
Ability to design and implement software features.
Ability to collaborate with engineering and partner teams.
Understanding of modern software engineering practices.
Ability to troubleshoot and monitor production systems.
Willingness to learn and apply current technologies and AI-powered development tools.
