Description

Appian is hiring a Software Engineer I - Java in Chennai. The role is aimed at graduates with 1–2 years of total experience and involves building and testing features across Appian's platform, working with low-code technologies, plugins, and the internal codebase.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and test features that expand the Appian platform.
Work across global Product and Engineering teams.
Work with Appian low-code technologies, plugins, and the internal codebase.
Prototype innovative features using new and emerging technologies.
Design features of increasing sophistication within small engineering teams.
Apply software engineering best practices to deliver reliable solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
1–2 years of total experience.
Previous software development industry experience and/or internships.
Experience with React, JavaScript, Java, and Python.
Experience using open-source software and Git.
Knowledge of programming concepts and software development best practices.
Ability to learn and implement new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
Candidates should be from a Tier 1 or Tier 1/2 college.
