Description

Cisco is hiring a Software Engineer for its Wireless Feature & System Engineering team in Bangalore. The role focuses on developing and validating end-to-end wireless capabilities across access points, controllers, and cloud-managed platforms, with hands-on work across software development, system validation, automation, debugging, and feature integration.

Responsibilities

Develop and integrate wireless features across access points, controllers, and cloud-management layers.
Write and maintain high-quality software using C, C++, and Python.
Design test plans, execute system validation, and build automation frameworks for feature testing.
Analyze complex logs and packet traces using Wireshark to identify and debug software and system issues.
Collaborate with platform, radio, QA, and cloud engineering teams to reproduce issues and deploy fixes.

Requirements

Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
Understanding of computer networking and wireless technologies.
Knowledge of Wi-Fi and wireless networking fundamentals.
Experience with debugging software and system issues.
Understanding of system validation and test automation.
Ability to work collaboratively with engineering and QA teams.
