Description

NCR Voyix is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer in Chennai, India. The role involves contributing across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of software applications.

The position requires proficiency in Go, TypeScript, and React, along with cloud experience in GCP, Azure, or AWS. The engineer will work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, contribute to code reviews and testing, use AI-assisted development practices, and document technical designs and processes.

Responsibilities

Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Use AI-assisted development practices to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
Follow established coding standards and software development best practices.
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
Contribute to technical discussions.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues.
Develop and execute unit tests.
Participate in integration and system testing.
Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to project requirements.
Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain and improve existing software applications.
Document technical designs, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Solid understanding of fundamental computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, and React.
Cloud experience with GCP, Azure, or AWS; GCP is a plus.
Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub.
Familiarity with GitHub Actions and Agile development.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
Prior internship or project experience in software development is a plus.
1–2 years of experience in the role or a related field.
Retail experience is a plus.
