Description

Ericsson is hiring an Automation Support Engineer in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The role focuses on automating defined tasks within managed service delivery. The engineer will implement automation according to approved requirements and high-level design documentation, troubleshoot minor software issues, monitor processes, improve operational workflows, and support customer-facing automation activities.

The position also provides exposure to AI using LLMs, mobile technologies, OSS tools, Linux/Unix systems, scripting, databases, and automation processes.

Responsibilities

Implement automation for defined managed service delivery tasks.
Develop automation according to approved requirements and high-level design documentation.
Apply knowledge of AI using LLMs where applicable.
Work with mobile technologies and open OSS tools such as ELK and Prometheus.
Support RHEL and Windows environments at L1 level.
Use programming languages such as Java or Python and Unix scripting tools.
Create, maintain, and update process documentation.
Document activities such as reports, backups, restoration, and staff training.
Troubleshoot issues and identify minor code bugs.
Monitor processes throughout their lifecycle and improve processes to minimize wastage.
Identify, encourage, build, and support automated processes.
Coordinate and communicate with team members and customers.
Mentor and guide team members.
Prepare periodic progress reports for management and customers.

Requirements

Full-time Bachelor's degree in Telecom, Electronics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Telecom, or Information Systems from a recognized university.
Experience of not more than 1 year in relevant areas.
Strong understanding of Unix-based operating systems.
L1 proficiency in Unix Shell scripting is advantageous.
Basic knowledge of Linux OS.
Basic knowledge of databases and SQL scripting.
Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python.
Basic Unix scripting knowledge including awk and sed is desirable.
Knowledge of MS Office.
Troubleshooting skills and ability to identify software bugs.
Knowledge of Cisco switches, NetBackup, and databases is beneficial.
Academic credentials must be from recognized and accredited institutions and are subject to verification.
