Description

TE Connectivity is seeking a Data Scientist I to develop machine learning solutions and generate actionable insights from data. The role focuses on Python-based data analysis, machine learning, statistical methods, feature engineering, data visualization, and model evaluation.

The position involves working with business stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical solutions, supporting ML model deployment and monitoring, and communicating findings through dashboards and reports. Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models, and cloud platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and validate machine learning models to address business challenges.
Perform data exploration, cleansing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
Support deployment and monitoring of machine learning models in production environments.
Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop analytical solutions.
Conduct experiments and evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics.
Document methodologies, assumptions, and results for knowledge sharing.
Stay updated with developments in AI, machine learning, and data science.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
0–3 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Machine Learning, or AI-related projects.
Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and machine learning.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Understanding of regression, classification, clustering, recommendation systems, and time-series forecasting.
Experience with Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy; basic knowledge of TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Understanding of statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, and feature engineering.
Data visualization skills using Power BI, Tableau, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
Basic knowledge of Generative AI and Large Language Models.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Databricks is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
